survey’s 450 global respondents said protecting the brand’s reputation “should be the primary motivation for data security within their organisation,” while 32 percent of respondents cited “implementing best practice security measures” as the motivation for data security. “Meeting compliance requirements came in third at 22 percent,” the release said. Additionally, the survey found that 42 percent of respondents say their companies are increasing data security budgets, while 39 percent say their companies’ data security budgets are stagnant. The survey was done “via an online survey tool and promoted globally to IT security professionals,” and the full results will be released in May, Vormetric said.
