CBP Los Angeles Increases Some Enforcement Fees

CBP is changing the FCL Logistics Trade Enforcement Centralized Examination Station fee schedule, it said in a public notice dated Jan. 7 from the Los Angeles Field Office. The changes will take effect after a 30-day public comment period, if approved by the port director. The new fees are:

  • New Facility Charges: $275 for Line #3A non-refrigerated dry containers and $350 for Line #3B refrigerated cargo containers.
  • A Seizure/Forfeiture Fee Addition of $75, added under Line #3c to cover the costs of exam, storage, segregation/manipulation of freight seized by CBP. The fee applies only to IBET/A-IBET exams.
