APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for Oct. 29

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes Oct. 29 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Export Program Manual: The Export Program Manual (XPM) (here) has been updated. Updates are indicated by change bars on the left hand margin of the XPM pages affected. The following section of the XPM has been updated:

  • Section 3-7 -- Special Programs -- User Fees

This update adds a new accounting code for fiscal year 2013:

3XPQPQ0024PQPSCRTPUBLICUSDA/0203

This new accounting code takes effect immediately. The Certificates Issued Worksheet has been updated with the new accounting code and is also to be used immediately. All previous worksheets using any other accounting code are not to be used.
