USTR Sets List of Products Subject to Waiver Under Panama TPA

The Office of U.S. Trade Representative issued its list of eligible goods and services from Panama eligible for a Waiver of Discriminatory Purchasing Requirements under Trade Agreements Act of 1979, as a result of the U.S.-Panama Trade Promotion Agreement, which takes effect Oct. 31.

For Panama, the waiver is to be applied by all entities listed in the Schedule of the U.S. in Annex 9.1 of the Panama TPA, USTR said in a Federal Register notice scheduled for Oct. 29. It said the waivers are subject to modification or withdrawal by the USTR.
