APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for Oct. 2

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service issued emails Oct. 2 announcing changes to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Federally Recognized State Managed Phytosanitary Program Manual: The online Federally Recognized State Managed Phytosanitary Program Manual (here) has been revised to add information on the domestic Agricultural Quarantine Inspection (AQI) review process. Revisions are on the following pages:

  • Chapter 6: Quality Assurance: Pages 6-1-1 and 6-1-2.

Approved Dracaena Facilities: The list of Approved Dracaena Facilities (here) has been updated, transmittal 10/2012-06, to add one company to the list and to remove others as of September 24, 2012.
