APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for Aug. 30
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service issued emails Aug. 30 announcing changes to some Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Manual for Agricultural Clearance: The online Manual for Agricultural Clearance (here) has been revised to do the following:
- Remove Appendix H: List of Military Sealift Command Vessels and replace it with hyperlinks to a website maintained by the U.S. Navy
- Change all references of 4 mil thick plastic bags to 3 mil thick plastic bags
- Correct an error in the instructions for completing PPQ Form 309A, Pest Interception Record Worksheet

NOTE: Appendixes following the deleted Appendix H have been renumbered accordingly. Cross-references throughout the manual have also been updated.
