APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for Aug. 29

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service issued emails Aug. 29 announcing changes to some Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Animal Product Manual: The following changes have been made to the Animal Product Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information and corrections. The specific changes are listed after the individual page and table numbers below.

Chapter 2-4: Special Procedures

  • Table 2-4-6 Sources of Supply for Disinfection and Cleaning Materials: "4 MIL" changed to "3MIL" in first column (Item), first cell

Appendix H: List of Veterinarians

  • Table H-1-1 List of PPQ-VRS Headquarters Personnel: Dr. Lozada's name and contact information has been removed from the table

Links contained throughout the manual in the Table of Contents, List of Figures, List of Tables, and Index as well as internal and external cross-references have all been updated as needed.
