The government of Canada issued the following trade-related notices for Aug. 24. (Note that some may also be given separate headlines.)

  • 999 Line limitation. Customs Notice 12 was issued to remind the importing community about the requirements and obligations for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transmissions for clients who transmit accounting information via Customs Automated Data Exchange (CADEX). (here)
  • China steel pipe piles. The CITT issued a preliminary determination on the dumping and subsidizing of steel pipe piles originating in or exported from China. (here)
  • China hot-rolled steel plate. The CBSA began an investigation April 23 to determine the continuation of dumping of these goods and determined as a result of the investigation it is likely that a continuation of dumping of certain hot-rolled steel plates having originating in or exported from China will continue.   • Restricted registration of plants. The CFIA listed the varieties of plants which have been granted restricted registration. (here)
  • China unitized wall modules. The CBSA posted the investigation schedule for certain unitized wall modules originating in or exported from China. (here)
