APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for July 20

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service issued emails July 20 announcing changes to some Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Animal Product Manual: The following changes have been made to the Animal Product Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information and corrections. The specific changes are listed after the individual page numbers below.

Chapter 2-2: Clearing Regulated Cargo

  • Page 2-2-2 the list of forms in the sixth bullet at the top of the page has been corrected
  • Page 2-2-4 the form referenced in the second bullet after the first full paragraph has been corrected
  • Page 2-2-15 the forms referenced in the second and third bullets after the second full paragraph and the form referenced in the third full paragraph have been corrected
  • Page 2-2-16 the form referenced in #2 has been corrected

Chapter 2-3: Clearing Regulated Passenger Baggage

  • Page 2-3-12 the form referenced in #2 has been corrected

Appendix K: Completing and Distributing Forms

  • Page K-1-2 language in #1 has been corrected; language at the end of #3 has been deleted

Links contained throughout the manual in the Table of Contents, List of Figures, List of Tables, Index, as well as internal and external cross-references have all been updated.
