APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for June 25

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service issued emails June 25 announcing changes to some Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Postentry Quarantine Manual: The following changes have been made to the Postentry Quarantine Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information and corrections:

  • Appendix A Directory of PPQ Postentry Quarantine Liaison Officers change: Hawaii, Oregon, and Tennessee contact information has been updated
  • Links contained in the Table of Contents, List of Figures, List of Tables, and the Index have all been updated as needed.

Animal Product Manual: The following change has been made to the Animal Product Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information and corrections:

  • Table 3-17-12 Swine trophies (including bones, capes, carcasses, hides, and skins) that are NOT fully taxidermy finished from a country affected with ASF or affected with ASF in combination with FMD change language in third column (And the articles are:), second cell has been changed.
