APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for May 3

Animal Product Manual: The following changes have been made to the Animal Product Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information and corrections. The specific changes are listed after the page, table, or figure number below.

Appendix E: List of Establishments Approved to Receive, and/or Process Restricted Imported Animal By-Product:

• Page E-1-6 Arizona change Chuck Meacham Taxidermy has been deleted
• Page E-1-9 California change Avian Design Studio has been added
• Page E-1-12 Colorado change one item has been added to Artworks Taxidermy third column (Purpose or product)
• Page E-1-13 Florida change contact address and phone numbers have been corrected for American Sportsman Inc.
• Page E-1-16 Florida change McCauley Taxidermy and New World International Forwarding, Inc. have been added
• Page E-1-24 Idaho change one item has been deleted from Wild Touch Taxidermy third column (Purpose or product)
• Page E-1-35 Minnesota change one item has been added to Wings and Things Taxidermy third column (Purpose or product)
• Page E-1-37 Montana change two items have been added to and one item deleted from Alpine Artistry third column (Purpose or product)
• Page E-1-38 Montana change one item has been added to and one item deleted from Atcheson Taxidermy third column (Purpose or product); Jeff Cody has been deleted from establishment listing
• Page E-1-39 Montana change one item has been deleted from Trails West Taxidermy third column (Purpose or product)
• Page E-1-40 Montana change last digit of area code has been corrected for World Class Wildlife Studio, Inc.
• Page E-1-43 New York change two items have been added to Global Tanning third column (Purpose or product)
• Page E-1-44 New York change four items have been added to Wilderness East End Tannery third column (Purpose or product)
• Page E-1-57 Texas change contact name has been changed for Comal Taxidermy Studio
• Page E-1-58 Texas change town name has been corrected for Double Nickel Taxidermy
• Page E-1-65 Utah change one item has been added to High Uintahs Taxidermy Inc.

Treatment Manual: the Treatment Manual (here) has been revised. The reasons for the revisions are:

• Page 2-3-4: Figure 2-3-1 added a link in the footnote to new Appendix I: Crop Groups
• Page 2-4-9: revised the Caution by removing “malathion” and adding a link to T402-d
• Pages 2-4-14, 2-4-15, and 2-5-2: revised the definition of “pulpy fruits and vegetables”
• Pages 2-6-4, 2-7-4, and 2-7-5: removed “malathion” and added link to T402-d
• Pages 5-2-63 through 5-2-66: expanded the list of commodities eligible for treatment with T104-a-1 and T104-a-2
• Page 5-3-3: Removed information regarding plant dips
• Pages 5-3-5, 5-3-13, 5-3-20 (schedules T201-g-2, T201-o-2, T201-p-2): Malathion/Carbaryl plant dip treatments are no longer authorized for use by PPQ. Following a Federal Register Notice, the treatment schedules will be removed or revised.
• Pages 5-5-3 through 5-5-4 (schedules T402-b-3-2, T402-b-3-1, T402-d): added new chemical treatment alternatives for miscellaneous areas where fumigation is not possible
• Page 5-5-13 (schedule T404-b-5-1): added new chemical treatment alternatives
• Pages 5-5-15 and 5-5-16: added Table 5-5-4: Pest list for T404-b-1-1, T404-b-1-2, and T404-b-4; added link to the new table from the schedules
• Page 5-5-19: corrected footnote for T404-d
• Page 5-5-20: added new table 5-5-5: Partial Site list for Chemical Treatments
• Page 5-5-30: T409-b: added a link to Chemicals-Aerosols and Micronized Dusts chapter 2-12
• Pages 6-1-2 and A-31: updated Riverdale phone numbers
• New Appendix I: added EPA Crop Group lists
