APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for April 16

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service issued emails April 13 & 16, 2012, announcing changes to some Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Manual for Agricultural Clearance: The Manual for Agricultural Clearance (here) has been revised to update (i) headquarters contact phone numbers; and (ii) contact information included in the List of PPQ Identifiers and Co-Lateral National Specialists. Revisions are on the following pages:

The Clearing Seeds for Planting job aid for CBPAS (here) has been updated to remove cross-references to the former Nursery Stock Manual and to add cross-references to see the Plants for Planting Manual. Revisions, identified by a black change bar in the left margin of each revised page, also include formatting changes.
