CBP Offers Web-Based Training for e-Manifest: Ocean/Rail

U.S. Customs and Border Protection states that Web-Based Training (WBT) for e-Manifest: Rail & Sea (M1) is now available. CBP's information on M1 is broken into six lessons, with the recommended audience listed as appropriate.

To take the WBT, CBP states that interested persons should visit the “Training and Reference Guides” section on www.cbp.gov/modernization. The URL for the ACE Web Based Training is available here.

(Note that this CSMS also states that the new sea and rail manifest enhancements will be deployed on August 20, 2011. However, sources clarified that CBP will only deploy the programming code on that date. The trade pilot will not begin any earlier than mid-September, and the port rollout is still scheduled for October.)
