CPSC Announces Open Meetings with Industry Stakeholders

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has updated the list of meetings between CPSC and its stakeholders that are open to the public, unless otherwise stated:

  • Flammable liquid containers. John Murphy, Directorate for Engineering Sciences, meeting with ASTM F15.10 Subcommittee for Flammable Liquid Containers for a conference call of the subcommittee to discuss the next steps on WPI study and response from CPSC as a follow up from the last meeting; 07/21/11.
  • Fireworks. Demar Granados, Office of Compliance and Field Operations, and Thomas Hardison, Directorate for Laboratory Sciences, meeting with American Fireworks Standards Laboratory (AFSL) Standards Committee to discuss, among other items, the development of an objective test to determine compliance with 16 CFR1500.17(a)(3) and (a)(8); 07/22/11 - 07/23/11.
  • Phthalates CHAP meeting. The fifth meeting of the Chronic Advisory Panel (CHAP) on Phthalates and Phthalate Substitutes; 07/25/11 - 07/26/11.
  • ICPHSO meetings. CPSC Compliance and other staff will participate in the International Consumer Product Health and Safety Organization’s (ICPHSO) Southeast Regional Training Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia on 08/04/11, and CPSC employees (to be determined) will participate as speakers or agency representatives in an ICPHSO symposium in Seoul, Korea on 10/31/11 - 11/03/11.
