the 2012 World Conference on International Telecommunications, have suggested provisions prohibiting international double taxation are needed (CD April 8 p7). The conference will update the International Telecommunication Regulations. Speakers include attorneys from law firm Baker & McKenzie who will talk about international double taxation of telecom services; Martin Cave of the London School of Economics, who will speak about the economic impact of taxation; and Gabriel Solomon of the GSM Association, who will speak about the preliminary findings in a global mobile tax review.
