ACE e-Manifest: Rail and Sea Trade Testing Started

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has announced that user testing for ACE e-Manifest: Ocean and Rail (M1) began in early May. CBP is conducting the testing with certain members of the trade community and hopes to begin the rollout of the M1 pilot later this year.

According to CBP sources, this testing will continue through September, and if it has been successful, CBP will then begin rolling out the M1 pilot on a port-by-port basis.

CBP expects this rollout to be complete in January 2012.
