Harmonized System Update – Changes to the 2011 HTS

CBP has issued a CSMS message announcing recent changes to the 2011 Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HS Update No. 1102). This update contains 4,480 ABI records and 548 harmonized tariff records.

This update contains modifications made per the request of the Department of Transportation and the Food and Drug Administration.

Changes were also made to implement the dairy import assessment as published on March 18, 2011 in the Federal Register. These changes will become effective on August 1, 2011.

Adjustments required by the verification of the 2010 Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) are also included.

The modified records are currently available to all ABI participants and can be retrieved electronically via the procedures indicated in the CATAIR.
