CPSC Lists CPSIA Certificate Requirements for Its Standards, Rules & Bans

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has posted a chart of its rules, standards and bans, listing which Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CPSIA) certification requirements apply, the dates those requirements apply, and any stays of enforcement in place for these certification requirements.

In other words, CPSC is listing whether one or both of the following certificates is required for a given rule, standard, or ban: (i) a General Conformity Certificate (GCC), which is based on either a test of each product or on a reasonable testing program; or (ii) a Children's Product Certificate, which is based on third-party testing by a CPSC accredited lab.
