Brazil Certain Hot-Rolled Flat-Rolled Carbon-Quality Steel Products: Preliminary Results of CV Admin Review

The International Trade Administration is conducting an administrative review of the countervailing duty order on certain hot-rolled flat-rolled carbon-quality steel products from Brazil covering the period January 1, 2008 through December 31, 2008 (C-351-829). Interested parties are invited to comment on the preliminary results of this administrative review.

Preliminary Results of Review

The ITA has calculated a combined subsidy rate for USIMINAS/COSIPA1 for the period of review. The ITA has preliminarily determined the total countervailable subsidy to be 0.02 percent ad valorem for USIMINAS/COSIPA, which is a de minimis rate.

Estimated Cash Deposit Requirement and Assessments Not Yet in Effect

The estimated CV cash deposit requirement of zero for the listed firm will be effective upon publication of the final results of this administrative review for all shipments of the subject merchandise with a time of entry on or after the publication date. In addition, the ITA will instruct CBP to liquidate without regard to CV duties if the final results are the same as the preliminary results.
