Survey of C-TPAT Members Finds 42% Say Benefits Outweigh Costs

Export Compliance Daily combines U.S. export control news, foreign border import regulation and policy developments into a single daily information service that reliably informs its trade professional readers about important current issues affecting their operations.

Of the 8,166 companies participating in C-TPAT, a total of 3,901 businesses, nearly half (47.8%), responded to the 2010 survey. Among other things, the survey found that 42.1% of businesses reported that the benefits of participation in C-TPAT outweighed the costs and 25% reported that the costs and the benefits were about the same.
