China Magnesia Carbon Bricks: CV Duty Order Issued

The International Trade Administration is issuing a countervailing duty order on magnesia carbon bricks from China.

CV Suspension of Liquidation Continues

As a result of the ITA's negative preliminary CV duty determination and subsequent affirmative final determination, CV suspension of liquidation of the subject merchandise did not begin until August 2, 2010 (the publication date of the final determination).

Therefore, the ITA is directing U.S. Customs and Border Protection to continue to suspend liquidation for subject merchandise from China with a time of entry on or after August 2, 2010.

CV Cash Deposits Effective Sept 16

The ITA will also instruct CBP to require, at the same time as importers would normally deposit estimated duties on this merchandise, CV cash deposits on entries of subject merchandise from China with a time of entry on or after September 16, 2010 (the publication date of the International Trade Commission’s final injury determination) at the following CV duty rates:
