Mexico Magnesia Carbon Bricks: AD Duty Order Issued

The International Trade Administration has issued an antidumping duty order on magnesia carbon bricks from Mexico.

AD Liquidation Resumed & Cash Deposits/Bonds Terminated Sept 7-15

The six month period for which the AD suspension of liquidation may remain in effect before the order is issued began on March 11, 2010 (the publication date of the preliminary determination) and ended on September 6, 2010.

As the ITC’s final affirmative injury determination was published on September 16, 2010, the ITA will instruct CBP to terminate the AD suspension of liquidation and to release all bonds and refund all AD duty cash deposits on unliquidated entries of subject merchandise from Mexico with a time of entry on or after September 7, 2010 through September 15, 2010.

AD Suspension of Liquidation Resumes Sept 16

The AD suspension of liquidation will resume for all entries of subject merchandise from Mexico with a time of entry on or after September 16, 2010.

AD Cash Deposit Requirements

The ITA will also instruct CBP to require, at the same time as importers would normally deposit estimated duties, AD cash deposits on entries of subject merchandise from Mexico with a time of entry on or after September 16, 2010 at the AD duty rates below.
