China Steel Grating: CV Duty Order Issued

The International Trade Administration is issuing a countervailing duty order on certain steel grating from China (C-570-948).

CV Liquidation Resumed, Cash Deposits/Bonds Terminated March 3-July 18

The ITA has instructed U.S. Customs and Border Protection to discontinue the suspension of liquidation for CV duty purposes, and the collection of CV duty cash deposits or bonds, for subject merchandise with a time of entry on or after March 3, 2010 through July 18, 2010 (the day before publication of the International Trade Commission’s final affirmative injury determination).

(Suspension of liquidation of all entries of steel grating from China with a time of entry on or after November 3, 2009 (the publication date of the preliminary determination) through March 2, 2010 remains in effect.)

CV Liquidation Reinstated July 19

The ITA will direct CBP to reinstate the CV suspension of liquidation for steel grating from China for entries with a time of entry on or after July 19, 2010, the publication date of the ITC’s final injury determination.

CV Cash Deposit Instructions

The ITA will also instruct CBP to require, at the same time as importers would normally deposit estimated duties on this merchandise, CV cash deposits on entries of steel grating from China with a time of entry on or after July 19, 2010 at the following CV duty rates (which are unchanged from the final determination):
