Registration for C-TPAT Northern Border Highway Conference Now Open

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has announced that registration is now open for the second annual Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism Northern Border Highway Carrier Conference that will be held in Niagara Falls, NY on August 31 -- September 1, 2010.

Export Compliance Daily combines U.S. export control news, foreign border import regulation and policy developments into a single daily information service that reliably informs its trade professional readers about important current issues affecting their operations.

Registration is open to all C-TPAT members, but preference will be given to Northern Border highway carriers, Canadian importers, and Canadian foreign manufacturers, with spots being filled on a first come, first serve basis (seating is limited to 500 participants).

Program content includes: portal/SVI orientation, security profile development and maintenance, presentations by both C-TPAT and PIP on current status of each program, discussion of the new University of Virginia results as well as six different workshops to include: container inspection with C-TPAT new false compartment trailer, validation/revalidation preparation for highway carriers, sealing issues, risk analysis, a PIP workshop and a computer lab that will be available each day.
