1. Updated Interest Rates for Additional Duties on Reconciliations

CBP posted an updated list of the interest rates (updated for the second quarter of 2010) for additional duty payments owed to Customs as a result of reconciliation. CBP notes that when a reconciliation results in additional monies owed CBP, the payment must be made with interest, calculated by the filer using the rates provided in the list. 2. Harmonized System Update -- Changes to the 2010 HTS
CBP has issued a CSMS message announcing recent changes to the 2010 Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HS Update No. 1002). This update contains 1,839 ABI records and 135 harmonized tariff records.
This update contains harmonized tariff records that have more than eight associated special rates. Due to the recent expansion of the ABI harmonized tariff query and extract reference file, the new records should now display this data. This update also includes adjustments required by the verification of the 2010 HTS. 3. CBP Updates its TRQ/TPL "Threshold to Fill" List
CBP has posted an updated version of its TRQ/TPL "threshold to fill" list, a quick reference to monitor TRQs and TPLs that are approaching the restraint limit or have filled the in-quota (low) rate. The list is divided into two sections those that are at least 85% filled and those that are closed. 4. CBP Posts ACE Programming Issues Spreadsheet
CBP has posted an Excel spreadsheet providing details on ACE programming issues. The spreadsheet includes the issue number, date opened, description, status, scheduled delivery date, and comments. 5. CBP Border Patrol's Weekly Blotter
