Preliminary AD Rates Range from 90.32% to 174.85%
The ITA preliminarily found that Chinese producers/exporters have sold woven electric blankets in the U.S. at 90.32% to 174.85% less than fair value.
The mandatory respondent, Hung Kuo Electronics (Shenzhen) Company Limited, received a preliminary AD duty rate of 90.32%. Two other companies, Ningbo V.K. Industry & Trading Co., Ltd. and Ningbo Jifa Electrical Appliances Co., Ltd./Ningbo Jinchun Electric Appliances Co., Ltd., have also qualified for a separate rate of 90.32%. All other Chinese producers/exporters will receive the China-wide entity rate of 174.85%.
As a result of this preliminary determination, the ITA will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection to collect a cash deposit or bond based on these preliminary rates.
Final Determination Scheduled for June 2010
The ITA's Federal Register notice on this preliminary determination is expected soon. It is currently scheduled to issue its final determination in June 2010.
