(The ITA initiated this review to determine whether SKF (UK) Ltd. is the successor-in-interest to SNFA Bearings Ltd.

In January 2008, SKF UK and SNFA UK notified the ITA that the companies had moved SNFA UK's production facilities to the grounds of SKF's Stonehouse operations and that SNFA UK's assets had been legally transferred to SKF. SKF and SNFA also explained that, with the asset transfer, SNFA began operating as a part of SKF.)

SKF is Successor-in-Interest to SNFA/SKF's SNFA Operations

The ITA has determined that SKF is the successor-in-interest to SNFA and, therefore, SKF's SNFA operations, and as a result, should be accorded the same AD duty treatment as SKF.

Suspension of Liquidation, 18.64% Cash Deposit Requirement for SKF

The ITA will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection to suspend liquidation of all shipments of the subject merchandise produced or exported by either SNFA or SKF's SNFA operations with a time of entry on or after November 4, 2009.

The ITA will also instruct CBP to require an AD duty cash deposit of 18.64% for shipments of the subject merchandise, produced or exported by either SNFA or SKF's SNFA operations, with a time of entry on or after November 4, 2009. (See ITT's Online Archives or 08/31/09 news, 09083140, for BP summary of the most recent final results of administrative review for SKF UK.)
