AD: Indonesia, Taiwan, Vietnam Polyethylene Retail Carrier Bags

The International Trade Administration has issued notices that it is postponing the preliminary determinations in the antidumping duty investigations of polyethylene retail carrier bags from Indonesia, Taiwan, and Vietnam.

ITA Postpones Taiwan Investigation to October 19th

With regard to Taiwan, the petitioners requested a 42-day postponement of the preliminary determination in order to allow the ITA additional time to resolve a number of issues in the investigation. For reasons identified by the petitioners and because there are no compelling reasons to deny the request, the ITA is postponing the deadline for this preliminary determination by 42 days to October 19, 2009.

ITA Postpones Indonesia, Vietnam Investigations to October 27th

With regard to Indonesia and Vietnam, the petitioners requested a 50-day postponement of the preliminary determinations in order to allow the ITA additional time to resolve a number of complex issues in the investigations. For reasons identified by the petitioners and because there are no compelling reasons to deny the requests, the ITA is postponing the deadline for these preliminary determinations by 50 days to October 27, 2009.

The deadlines for the final determinations will continue to be 75 days after the date of the preliminary determinations, unless extended.
