AD: Trinidad and Tobago Carbon and Alloy Steel Wire Rod

The International Trade Administration has issued its final results of the antidumping duty administrative review of carbon and certain alloy steel wire rod from Trinidad and Tobago for the period of October 1, 2006 through September 30, 2007.

AD Cash Deposit Instructions for a Time of Entry on or after 03/12/09:

(a) For previously reviewed or investigated companies not listed above, the AD duty cash deposit rate will continue to be the company-specific rate published for the most recent final results in which that manufacturer or exporter participated;

(b) If the exporter is not a firm covered in this review, a prior review, or the original AD investigation, but the manufacturer is, the AD duty cash deposit rate will be the rate established for the most recent final results for the manufacturer of the merchandise; and

(c) If neither the exporter nor the manufacturer is a firm covered in this or any previous review conducted by the ITA, the AD duty cash deposit rate will be 11.40%, the all-others rate established in the AD investigation.

Assessment Instructions for the Review Period (10/01/06 - 09/30/07)

The ITA intends to issue assessment instructions to U.S. Customs and Border Protection 15 days after March 12, 2009.

The ITA has calculated importer-specific duty assessment rates for the subject merchandise.

The ITA adds that for entries of subject merchandise during the review period produced by AMPL for which AMPL did not know the merchandise it sold to the intermediary (e.g., a reseller, trading company, or exporter) was destined for the U.S., the ITA will instruct CBP to liquidate unreviewed entries at the all-others rate if there is no rate for the intermediary involved in the transaction.
