Export Compliance Daily combines U.S. export control news, foreign border import regulation and policy developments into a single daily information service that reliably informs its trade professional readers about important current issues affecting their operations.

(The ITA published its preliminary affirmative AD duty determination for subject merchandise from Korea on November 6, 2008. See ITT's Online Archives or 11/07/08 news, 08110740, for BP summary.)

Petition for AD Investigation Withdrawn

On November 17, 2008, the ITA received a letter from the petitioners in the AD investigation notifying the ITA that they are no longer interested in seeking relief and are withdrawing their petition on line pipe from Korea.

As no party objects to this termination and the ITA is not aware of any evidence to the contrary, the ITA finds that termination of this investigation is in the public interest.

Liquidation Reinstated, AD Cash Deposit/Bonds Released

The ITA will issue instructions directly to U.S. Customs and Border Protection to terminate the suspension of liquidation of subject merchandise and release all bonds and any cash deposits that have been posted, where applicable.

(See ITA notice for more information, including the scope of the investigation, etc.

See ITT's Online Archives or 03/01/05 news, 05030135, for BP summary of the ITA's previous termination of an AD investigation on similar products from Korea.)
