Assessment Instructions for the Review Period (10/01/05 - 09/30/06)
The ITA will issue appropriate assessment instructions directly to U.S. Customs and Border Protection 41 days after May 12, 2008.
The ITA adds that it has calculated importer-specific duty assessment rates for subject merchandise, which trade sources note may differ significantly from the cash deposit rate listed above.
The ITA states that for entries of subject merchandise during the review period produced by Ivaco for which Ivaco did not know its merchandise was destined for the U.S., the ITA will instruct CBP to liquidate unreviewed entries at the all-others rate if there is no rate for the intermediate company(ies) involved in the transaction.
