AD: China PET Film, Sheet, and Strip

The International Trade Administration has made a preliminary affirmative antidumping duty determination that polyethylene terephthalate film, sheet and strip (PET film) from China is being, or is likely to be, sold in the U.S. at less than fair value.

Combination rates. The ITA has calculated combination rates for respondents that are eligible for a separate rate in this investigation. (See ITT's Online Archives or 04/11/05 news, (Ref: 05041110), for BP summary of an April 2005 policy bulletin outlining this change in practice with regard to combination rates for non-market economies (NMEs).)

Suspension of liquidation. The ITA will instruct CBP to suspend liquidation of all entries of PET film from China with time of entry on or after May 5, 2008.

AD cash deposit or bond. The ITA will also instruct CBP to require a cash deposit or the posting of a bond at the AD rates listed below, for entries of PET film from China with a time of entry on or after May 5, 2008 for the following exporter/producer combinations and the China-wide entity:

Final AD Duty Determination Due Date

The ITA will make its final AD duty determination for PET film from China 75 days after May 5, 2008.
