DS and Wii “continued to exceed supply” in the U.K., the retail chain said, adding its best-selling games included FIFA 08 and The Simpsons Game from Electronic Arts, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare from Activision, Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 from Konami and Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed on multiple platforms, as well as Nintendo’s Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training for DS and Sega’s Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games for Wii. Game Group is also “confident that consumer demand for our products will remain strong as we approach” the March first anniversary of PS3’s launch, and that supplies of DS and Wii “will continue to improve,” Chairman Peter Lewis said. The retailer maintained its financial forecast for the fiscal year ending Jan. 31 and plans to report preliminary results for the fiscal year April 22, it said.
