AD Duty Order Revoked for Grade SAF 2507 Stainless Steel Bar

The ITA is partially revoking the order on stainless steel bar from the UK with respect to grade SAF 2507 stainless steel bar, as it preliminarily found that the continued relief provided by the order is no longer of interest to the domestic industry, and it did not receive any comments objecting to the preliminary results.

CBP to Liquidate Affected Entries, Refund AD Duties

The ITA will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection to liquidate without regard to AD duties, and to refund any estimated AD duties collected on entries of all shipments of grade SAF 2507 stainless steel bar from the UK that are not covered by the final results of an administrative review or automatic liquidation. (The most recent period for which the ITA has completed an administrative review or ordered automatic liquidation is March 1, 2006 through February 28, 2007. Any prior entries are subject to either the final results of review or automatic liquidation.)

Therefore, the ITA will instruct CBP to liquidate, without regard to AD duties, shipments of grade SAF 2507 stainless steel bar from the UK with a time of entry on or after March 1, 2007. The ITA will also instruct CBP to release any cash deposits or bonds and pay interest on such refunds. The ITA intends to issue assessment instructions to CBP 15 days after November 23, 2007.

(See ITA notice for more information, including the scope of the order, etc. See ITT's Online Archives or 10/12/07 news, 07101240, for BP summary of the initiation and preliminary results of this AD duty changed circumstances review.)
