CV: China Laminated Woven Sacks

The International Trade Administration has issued a notice stating that it is postponing the preliminary countervailing duty determination on laminated woven sacks from China by 65 days to no later than November 26, 2007.

Period for Preliminary Determination Extended at Petitioners' Request

According to the ITA, on August 23, 2007, petitioners Bancroft Bag, Inc., Coating Excellence International, Inc., Hood Packaging Corporation, Mid-America Packaging, LLC, and Polytex Fibers Corporation (collectively, petitioners), submitted a letter requesting that the ITA postpone the preliminary determination of the CV duty investigation of laminated woven sacks from China by 65 days.

The ITA states that it may extend the period for reaching a preliminary determination in a CV duty investigation if the petitioner makes timely request for an extension. Accordingly, the ITA is extending the due date for the preliminary determination by 65 days to no later than November 26, 2007.
