CBP Reports by Phone That August PMS Now Fixed

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection sources, CBP has fixed the problem with the preliminary Periodic Monthly Statements (PMS) and has routed correct preliminary PMS.

1. CBP Has Fixed Problem with Preliminary Periodic Monthly Statements

(On August 15th CBP announced that due to systems maintenance, the generation of preliminary PMS had been delayed and would be available on August 15th by 6:00 p.m., if not earlier. See ITT's Online Archives or 08/16/07 news, 07081635 1, for BP summary.

On August 16th CBP issued three ABI administrative messages (Admins: 07-0175 - 0177) announcing (1) that there may be a further delay on the preliminary PMS (2) that once the preliminary PMS were routed, there were problems with the message structures, which caused various side effects, and (3) that all PMS would be routed again some time after 8:00 p.m. EDT on August 16th.)
