April 2007 Census Trade Data for Textiles and Apparel
The Commerce Department's Office of Textiles and Apparel (OTEXA) has posted to its Web site the monthly reports containing official April 2007 trade data from the Department of Census for imports and exports of textiles and apparel:

Export Compliance Daily combines U.S. export control news, foreign border import regulation and policy developments into a single daily information service that reliably informs its trade professional readers about important current issues affecting their operations.
Major Shippers Report. This report provides general import statistics by date of import, by country, certain 'trade blocks' and category (including merged, part category) for countries/trade blocks that exceed certain thresholds (are 'major shippers'). Quantity is in category units. Value is in dollars.
Below is a table highlighting the Major Shippers Report covering total textile and apparel imports for the 12-month period of May 1, 2006 - April 30, 2007 for countries that have .5% or more of the U.S. market, that also show a change of 15% or more. Also included are trade blocks of note:

Total Quantity (TQ) Data. These reports show imports from each supplier country and the world by tariff number. Quantity is in category units. Value is in dollars.
Trade Preference Program Report.This report shows country-by-country imports of Tariff Preference Level (TPL) textiles and apparel under the AGOA, ATPDEA or CBTPA by HTS Chapter 98 tariff numbers. Quantity is in category units and square meters equivalent (SME). Value is in dollars. Country-by-country fill rates are also provided.
Trade Balance Report. This report shows imports, exports, and the trade balance for textile and apparel trade with the world and selected countries/regions. Its statistics are organized into: yarn, fabric, made-up, apparel, and total. (Only value, in dollars.)
Import Report.This report shows general imports from the world and from major supplier countries & regions. Its statistics are organized into the following groups: yarn, fabrics, made-up and misc, apparel, & non-apparel total. (Only quantity, in SME.)
Etc. The U.S. Possessions Report, Expanded Export Data (by Schedule B number), the Export Market Report (by textile group, country; value only), among others.
The Trade Preference Program report contains data for October 2006 - May 2007 imports.
In March 2007, OTEXA expanded the product coverage for the Trade Balance Report to correspond to the product coverage of textile provisions under free trade agreements.
