AD Duty Order Revoked for Certain Upholstered Beds

The ITA states that based on the domestic parties' expression of no interest in the relief provided by the order on wooden bedroom furniture from China with respect to certain upholstered beds, the ITA is partially revoking the order with respect to certain upholstered beds which meet the following specifications:

Beds that are completely upholstered, i.e., containing filling material and completely covered in sewn genuine leather, synthetic leather, or natural or synthetic decorative fabric. To be excluded, the entire bed (headboards, footboards, and side rails) must be upholstered except for bed feet, which may be of wood, metal, or any other material and which are no more than nine inches in height from the floor.

ITA Instructs CBP to Liquidate Affected Entries, Etc.

The ITA states that it will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to liquidate, without regard to AD duties, as applicable, and to refund any estimated AD duties collected for all unliquidated entries of upholstered beds, meeting the specifications indicated above, and not subject to final results of an administrative review as of February 14, 2007.

(See ITA notice for more information, including the scope of the order, etc. See ITT's Online Archives or 12/22/06 news, 06122240, for BP summary of the initiation and preliminary results of this AD duty changed circumstances review.)
