COAC to Meet on February 14, 2007 in Washington, DC
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has issued a notice announcing that the next meeting of the Departmental Advisory Committee on Commercial Operations of Customs and Border Protection and Related Homeland Security Functions (COAC) will be held on February 14, 2007 in Washington, DC. (This committee was formerly known as the "Commercial Operations Advisory Committee.")

According to CBP, the following is a tentative agenda for the February 14, 2007 meeting:
- Collection of additional data elements for cargo security
- Trade Resumption
- International Container Security
- Container Security Initiative (CSI)
- Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT)
- Office of International Trade
- Export Enforcement - training and policy
- Introduction of the newly-appointed tenth term COAC members
CBP states that since seating is limited, all persons attending this meeting should provide notice to Wanda Tate at (202) 344-1440 by close of business on February 12, 2007.
