CBP Modifies ACS to Designate January 2, 2007 as a "Holiday" in the System

Export Compliance Daily combines U.S. export control news, foreign border import regulation and policy developments into a single daily information service that reliably informs its trade professional readers about important current issues affecting their operations.

The Automated Commercial System (ACS) has been modified to designate January 2, 2007 as a "holiday" in the system. This means that ABI filers may not transmit January 2, 2007 as a statement print date (formerly known as "payment due date") for statement/Automated Clearinghouse (ACH) scheduling. In addition, entries that were successfully transmitted using January 2, 2007 as the statement print date prior to the update of the CBP calendar will appear on preliminary statements generated on Wednesday, January 3, 2007.

Filers will receive two preliminary statements on January 3, 2007. One will list entries with January 2 as the statement print date and the second will list entries with January 3 as the statement print date. Filers who desire to receive only one preliminary statement on January 3 should use the "daily statement add/delete" feature of ABI to change the statement print date to January 3 for entries that were previously transmitted with January 2, 2007.
