Electronic Arts (EA) said the in-game soundtrack for its coming game NHL 07 features bands from “hockey towns” like Montreal (Priestess, Mobile), Toronto (Pilate), Minneapolis (Quiet Drive), Buffalo (Cute is What We Aim For) and Stockholm (The Hellacopters). The game, being developed at EA Canada for Xbox 360 and at EA Montreal for PS2, Xbox, PC and PSP, will ship in Sept. EA, meanwhile, said it plans to ship more than 20 games on 11 platforms as part of its holiday lineup. Besides NHL 07, they include: Madden NFL 07 (starting in Aug. for Xbox 360, Xbox, PS3, PS2, GameCube, Wii, PSP, PC, Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance); NASCAR 07 (Sept. for Xbox and PS2 and as NASCAR on PSP), NBA Live 07 (fall for Xbox 360, Xbox, PS2, PSP and PC); NCAA Football 07 (July for PS2, Xbox, Xbox 360 and PSP), NFL Street 3 (PSP and PS2); Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 (Oct. for Xbox 360, Xbox, PS2, PSP and PC, late fall for PS3); The Godfather The Game (Sept. for Xbox 360 and PSP); Need For Speed Carbon (fall for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PS2, Xbox, GameCube, DS, GBA, PSP, PC and mobile); Battlefield 2142 (fall for PC); Superman Returns: The Videogame (fall for Xbox 360, PS2, Xbox, PSP, DS and GBA); and, for mobile Downtown Texas Hold ‘em 2 (fall), EA Sports Fight Night Round 3 (holiday season), EA Sports Madden NFL 07 (Aug.), EA Sports NBA Live 07, EA Sports Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07, Orcs & Elves (for Verizon Wireless, nationwide this summer), SimCity (fall) and Tetris (this summer).
