AD: France Stainless Steel Bar

The International Trade Administration (ITA) has issued the final results of its antidumping (AD) duty administrative review of stainless steel bar from France for the period of March 1, 2004 through February 28, 2005.

AD Cash Deposit Instructions for a Time of Entry on or after 05/31/06:

(a) For previously investigated or reviewed companies not listed above, the AD duty cash deposit rate will continue to be the company-specific rate published for the most recent period;

(b) If the exporter is not a firm covered in this review, a prior review, or the AD investigation, but the manufacturer is, the AD duty cash deposit rate will be the rate established for the most recent period for the manufacturer of the merchandise;

(c) The AD cash deposit rate for all other manufacturers and exporters will continue to be 3.90%, the "All Others" rate established in the AD investigation.

Assessment Instructions for the Review Period (03/01/04 - 02/28/05)

The ITA states that it will issue appropriate appraisement instructions for Ugitech directly to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) within 15 days of May 31, 2006.

Additionally, the ITA states it has calculated importer-specific duty assessment rates for subject merchandise, which trade sources note may differ significantly from the AD cash deposit rates listed above (which are weighted averages).
