AD: Mexico Carbon and Certain Alloy Steel Wire Rod

The International Trade Administration (ITA) has issued the final results of its antidumping (AD) duty administrative review of carbon and certain alloy steel wire rod from Mexico for the period of October 1, 2003 through September 30, 2004.

(a) For merchandise exported by producers or exporters not covered in this review but covered in a prior segment, the AD cash deposit rate will continue to be the company-specific rate from the final results;

(b) If the exporter is not a firm covered in this review or a prior segment, but the producer is, the AD cash deposit rate will be the rate that was established for the producer of the merchandise in these final results of review or in the AD final determination; and

(c) If neither the exporter nor the producer is a firm covered in this review or the investigation, the AD cash deposit rate will be 20.11%, the "All Others" rate established in the AD investigation.

Assessment Instructions for the Review Period (10/01/03 - 09/30/04)

The ITA states that it will issue appropriate assessment instructions directly to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) within 15 days of May 15, 2006.

Additionally, the ITA states that it has calculated importer-specific duty assessment rates for entries of subject merchandise (on a per-unit basis for SICARTSA), which trade sources note may differ significantly from the AD cash deposit rates listed above (which are weighted averages).
