CV: Italy Stainless Steel Sheet and Strip in Coils and Stainless Steel Plate in Coils
The International Trade Administration (ITA) has issued the final results of two changed circumstances reviews of the countervailing (CV) duty orders on stainless steel sheet and strip in coils from Italy as well as stainless steel plate in coils from Italy. As a result, the ITA is revoking both of these CV duty orders for entries of subject merchandise with a time of entry on or after November 17, 1998 (stainless steel sheet and strip in coils) and September 4,1998 (stainless steel plate in coils).

(With respect to both orders, the ITA states that it is taking this action because the producers accounting for substantially all of the production of the domestic like product to which these CV duty orders pertain lack interest in the relief provided by the orders.)
ITA's Instructions to CBP, CV Cash Deposits to be Refunded, Etc.
Upon dismissal by the court of all pending appeals involving the subject merchandise as described in the scope of the order, the ITA will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to liquidate without regard to CV duties, all unliquidated entries of the subject merchandise with a time of entry on or after November 17, 1998 (the publication date of the preliminary CV duty determination on stainless steel sheet and strip in coils) or September 4, 1998 (the publication date of the preliminary CV duty determination on stainless steel plate in coils).
The ITA will also instruct CBP to pay interest on any refunded CVD deposits with respect to the subject merchandise entered, or withdrawn from warehouse, for consumption on or after August 6, 1999 (the publication date of the CV duty order on stainless steel sheet and strip in coils) or May 11, 1999 (the publication date of the CV duty order on stainless steel plate in coils).
