Antidumping Duty Investigation Initiated

Scope of the Investigation: The product covered by this investigation is technical or commercial grade and refrigeration grade liquid sulfur dioxide of a minimum 99.98 percent assay. Sulfur dioxide is identified by the chemical formula SO2. The Chemical Abstract Service (CAS) No. for sulfur dioxide is 7446-09-5. Liquid sulfur dioxide is pure sulfur dioxide gas compressed through refrigeration and stored under pressure.

HTS Subheading for the Investigation: Liquid sulfur dioxide subject to this investigation is currently classifiable under subheading HTS 2811.23.00.

Although the HTS subheadings are provided for convenience and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) purposes, the written description of the scope of this proceeding is dispositive.

Exclusions from the Scope of the Investigation: Specifically excluded from the scope of this investigation is sulfur dioxide in its gaseous state.
