AD: Mexico Carbon and Certain Alloy Steel Wire Rod

The International Trade Administration (ITA) has issued the final results of its antidumping (AD) duty administrative review of carbon and certain alloy steel wire rod from Mexico for the period of April 10, 2002 through September 30, 2003.

Final Results of AD Duty Administrative Review

(a) For merchandise exported by producers or exporters not covered in this review but covered in the investigation, the cash deposit rate will continue to be the company-specific rate from the final AD duty determination;

(b) If the exporter is not a firm covered in this review or the investigation, but the producer is, the cash deposit rate will be that established for the producer of the merchandise in these final results of AD duty administrative review or in the final AD duty determination; and

(c) The AD duty cash deposit rate for all other manufacturers and/or exporters shall continue to be 20.11%, the "all others" rate.

Assessment Instructions for the Review Period (04/10/02 - 09/30/03)

The ITA states that it will issue appropriate assessment instructions directly to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) within 15 days of May 16, 2005.

The ITA also states that the AD assessment rate is importer-specific, and according to trade sources, may differ significantly from the AD cash deposit rates listed above.
