AD: Brazil Silicomanganese
The International Trade Administration (ITA) has issued the final results of its antidumping (AD) duty administrative review of silicomanganese from Brazil for the period of December 1, 2002 through November 30, 2003.

AD Cash Deposit Rate for a Time of Entry On/After 04/13/05:

(e) The ITA has determined that a final AD duty rate of zero exists; as a result, no AD cash deposit is required;
(f) For merchandise exported by producers or exporters that were previously reviewed or investigated, the AD cash deposit rate will continue to be the most recent rate published in the final determination or final results for which the producer or exporter received an individual rate;
(g) If the exporter is not a firm covered in this review, a prior review, or the original AD duty investigation, but the manufacturer is, the AD cash deposit rate will be the rate established for the most recent period for the manufacturer of the subject merchandise; and
(h) The AD cash deposit rate for all other manufacturers and/or exporters shall continue to be 17.60%, the "all others" rate.
Assessment Instructions for the Review Period (12/01/02 - 11/30/03)
The ITA states that it will issue appropriate assessment instructions directly to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) within 15 days of April 13, 2005.
The ITA also states that the AD assessment rate is importer-specific, and according to trade sources, may differ significantly from the AD cash deposit rate listed above.
