AD: China Folding Metal Tables and Chairs

The International Trade Administration (ITA) has issued the final results of its antidumping (AD) duty administrative review of folding metal tables and chairs from China for the period of December 3, 2001 through May 30, 2003.

Final Results of AD Duty Administrative Review

(a) The AD cash deposit rate for China exporters for whom the ITA has rescinded the review or for whom a review was not requested (e.g. Feili Furniture Development Co., Ltd. and Feili (Fujian) Co., Ltd. (collectively, Feili) and New-Tec Integration Co., Ltd. (New-Tec)) will continue to be the rate assigned in an earlier segment of the proceeding or the China-wide rate of 70.71%, whichever is applicable;

(b) The AD cash deposit rate for the China entity (including Wok & Pan Industry, Inc. (Wok and Pan)) will continue to be the China-wide rate of 70.71%; and

(c) The AD cash deposit rate for non-China exporters of subject merchandise from China will be the rate applicable to the China supplier of that exporter.

Assessment Instructions for Review Period (12/03/01 - 05/30/03)

The ITA states that it will determine and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will assess AD duties on all appropriate entries. The ITA adds that it will issue appropriate appraisement instructions directly to CBP within 15 days of December 20, 2004. The ITA notes that for entries of the subject merchandise during the period of review from companies not subject to this review, it will instruct CBP to liquidate them at the cash deposit rate in effect at the time of entry.
