CV: France Low Enriched Uranium

The International Trade Administration (ITA) has issued its final results of the countervailing (CV) duty administrative review of low enriched uranium from France for one producer/exporter for the period of May 14, 2001 through December 31, 2002.

Final Results of Countervailing Duty Administrative Review

According to the ITA, this review period covers two separate time periods, one for the year 2001 (May 14, 2001 through September 10, 2001), and one for the year 2002 (February 13, 2002 through December 31, 2002).

The ITA states that the net subsidy rate for the 2001 review period (3.63%) will not affect the CV cash deposit rate for subject merchandise from Eurodif/COGEMA; however, the net subsidy rate for 2002 (0.71%) will affect the CV cash deposit rate for subject merchandise from Eurodif/COGEMA, as shown below:

Assessment Instructions for the Review Period (05/14/01 - 12/31/02)

The ITA states that within 15 days of July 7, 2004, it will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to liquidate shipments of low enriched uranium by Eurodif/COGEMA from France with a time of entry from May 14, 2001 through September 10, 2001 at 3.63%, and with a time of entry from February 13, 2002 through December 31, 2002 at 0.71%.
